Financial Eligibility
  • Income at or below 400% of the current Federal Poverty Level.
  • Do not have health insurance.
  • If you have health insurance, ADAP might be able to help with co-pay.
  • North Dakota resident for more than 30-days.
Medical Eligibility
  • HIV +
Enrollment Contact a case manager at a local CARE Consortium.
  • North Dakota resident for 30 days.
  • Must apply to Medicaid first, with denial letter.
  • Must have proof of income and receipt of other services (Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, etc.) or the lack of such services.
Pharmacy Pharmacy of client's choice.
Other Services Emergency Assistance -
If you have an emergency situation because of your HIV/AIDS health status, the Ryan White Program may be able to help you pay for the services you need. These emergency funds are for limited amounts, limited uses and limited periods of time.

Inssurance Continuation - North Dakota's Continuation of Insurance Program provides payment of health insurance premiums, copayments and deductibles for people living with HIV/AIDS if such payment is determined to be a cost-effective alternative to payment of future medical assistance and economic assistance costs.
Applicants must:
  • Meet North Dakota residency requirements;
  • Have a health insurance policy in effect or subject to being restored to effect upon the payment of premiums;
  • Be financially unable to pay, or continue to pay, premiums; and
  • Be infected with HIV.
