Pharmacy

  • Call ADAP Pharmacy at 1-877-288-8506. Toll-free fax is 1-877-404-0007. You must obtain your ADAP covered drugs through HealthCare Pharmacy, Arkansas' ADAP contract pharmacy. Covered medications are mailed to your home or a Case Manager's office. You may also pick up precriptions in person at HealthCare Pharmacy.

ADAP provides medications for people with HIV and AIDS. It also provide assistance for health insurance deductibles and co-pays for those uninsured and underinsured clients. Other services such as comprehensive case management, physician visits, laboratory monitoring, nutritional supplements and counseling, and dental care are available as well. To be eligible for these services you must be HIV-infected and provide documentation of Arkansas residency.

Financial Eligibility

  • Your annual household income must be under 500% of the current Federal Poverty Income Guidelines.

  • Everyone who applies for ADAP is screened for Medicaid eligibility, which means all applicants must have Medicaid denial letters or not be fully covered under Arkansas Medicaid unless they are receiving Medicare Part D.

  • If you are eligible for Medicare, you must provide a copy of the current determination letter from the Social Security Administration (SSA) Medicare Prescription Drug Assistance Program that shows you are not eligible or only partially eligible for assistance. You must also provide a copy of your Medicare Rx card (Part D).

  • You may also be eligible if you are not fully covered for medications(s) by any other third-party payor such as private insurance.

Medical Eligibililty - one of the following:
  • Your CD4 count is less than or equal to 350 or your HIV viral load (PCR) is less than or equal to 55,000. The lab results must be less than 6 months old.

  • HIV viral load (bDNA) is greater than or equal to 30,000 or CD4 count greater than 200 and less than 350 at any time along with proof of current medication adherence from a clinician or a pharmacy

  • Documented prior AIDS diagnosis

  • If pregnant, check for pregnancy Medicaid eligibility initially. If denied, client is immediately eligible

  • If client moved from another state's ADAP, include documentation of enrollment
